This development is a luxury Beach Front apartment complex developed by Norup Wilson and built by Pyramid Construction. Due to the corrosive and windy nature of the project’s location, it was important to the builder and developer to ensure an air-tight rigid weatherproof membrane was used for the external wall, while still maintaining the high acoustic and thermal properties, and the ability to close off levels to the outside environment shortly after the slabs are stripped to allow internal services and trades to progress.

The solution to this was to use our Insulframe Rockwool panels with the James Hardie developed RAB board lining as the external panel skin. The RAB board is a rigid air-tight weatherproof membrane capable of withstanding high wind loads and extreme weather conditions, where traditional sarking/membranes fail.
